Self drilling anchor rods are primarily used in relatively stable and intact rock formations. Resin, engineering adhesives, and quick-setting cement are injected directly into the center of the anchor bolt, resulting in better anchoring quality than ordinary anchor bolts. Due to the advent of self-drilling hollow grouting anchor bolts, they can also be used in loose soil and rock formations.
