One of the most important components of the drill string, providing drilling pressure to the bit and increasing the rigidity of the drill string.

AISI4145H chromium molybdenum steel is used to control the content of trace elements effectively. According to the shape and material of drill collar, it can be divided into three forms:

1. Type A (cylindrical type) : Drill collars made of ordinary alloy steel, round inside and outside the cross section of the tube body.

2. Type B (spiral type) : Drill collars made of ordinary alloy steel with spiral grooves on the outside surface of the tube.

3. Type C (no magnetic type) : Drill collars made of stainless steel with very low permeability and round inside and outside the cross section of the tube body.
